The new IOGEAR USB 3.0 ExpressCard allows you add 2 USB 3.0 SuperSpeed ports to your existing Laptop or Notebook computer. USB SuperSpeed has a 5 Gbps signaling rate offering 10x performance increase over Hi-Speed USB 2.0. The IOGEAR USB 3.0 ExpressCard is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 standards and will fit into any available ExpressCard slot.

Transferring a 25GB HD movie:
Using USB 2.0 it would take13.9 minutes to download, with USB 3.0 only 70 seconds

Backing up 1TB of data:
Using USB 2.0 it would take 9.3 hours, using the new USB 3.0 only 47 minutes
